Seniorforsker Harpa Birgisdóttir takkede på SBi's vegne for anerkendelsen og de medfølgende 250.000 kroner:
"The financial element of the prize will be so useful. It will fund the search for important new knowledge in the sustainability field. The end goal is to pave the way for a new system for voluntary sustainability classification recognized widely by clients and industry", sagde hun og fortsatte:
"The first step is a road map. We need to examine the incentives and possible barriers that might influence the success of such a system. For example, would it be possible to implement a voluntary sustainability classification system in the national building regulations? Could this be along the same lines as the successful recent voluntary low-energy classes?".
